What we believe in

The Bible

We believe that the Scriptures are inspired by God and declare His design and plan for mankind, unchangeable from Genesis to Revelation.

2 Timothy 3: 15-17 // 1 Thessalonians 2:13 // 2 Peter 1:21

The Trinity

We believe in God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit, and that the three are one. There is only One True God revealed in three persons: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. (1 John 5:7)

In the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ

We believe Jesus  Christ is the Only Son of God, both human and divine.  Who was crucified, died and rose again on the third day; He ascended to the heavens and now sits at the right hand of the Father.

Isaiah 7:14 //  Luke 1:30-35 // Acts 1:9

Salvation

Every person can have restored fellowship with God through salvation. We believe that salvation is gained through repentance and the confession of sins; it is given by divine grace (not by works) and is received by faith in Jesus Christ. He is the only mediator between God and men.

Acts 4:12 // Luke 24:47 // Ephesians 2:8

Sanctification

We believe in sanctification as a work done instantaneously in the spirit,  but also a progressive lifelong process of separating from evil as believers continually draw closer to God and become more Christlike.

1 Thessalonians 5:23 // Hebrews 12:14 // Romans 6:19-22

Baptism

We believe in the baptism of the Body of Christ, by which the person accepts Jesus, is born again, and goes on to be part of the Body of Christ and His eternal life. We believe in water baptism by immersion after repenting of one’s sins and receiving Christ’s gift of salvation.

Romans 6:4 // Mark 16:16 // Matthew 28:19

Baptism of the Holy Spirit

We believe in the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and that, through this baptism, empowers believers for witnessing and effective service, just as it did in New Testament times.

Luke 24:49 // Acts 1:8 //  Acts 2:4 // Mark 16:17

The Church

A divinely called and scripturally ordained leadership ministry serves the Church. The Bible teaches that each of us under leadership must commit ourselves to reach others for Christ, to worship Him with other believers, and to build up or edify the body of believers–the Church. “It was He who gave some to be apostles, some to be prophets, some to be evangelists, and some to be pastors and teachers, to prepare God’s people for works of service, so that the body of Christ may be built up until we all reach unity in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God and become mature, attaining to the whole measure of the fullness of Christ.”

Mark 16:15-20 // John 4:23-24 //  Eph 4:11-13

Divine healing and deliverance

Divine healing of the sick is a privilege for Christians today and is provided for in Christ’s atonement. We believe in the power of the Kingdom to heal the sick, cast out demons, and carry out miracles, signs, and wonders.

Matthew 12:28 // Isaiah 53:4-5

The resurrection of the dead and eternal life

We believe in the second coming of Christ for His people, that the dead in Christ will rise first, those who are alive will be taken up by Him, and all will go through the judgment of God. Those whose names are written in the Book of Life will rise again for eternal life, and those whose names aren’t will face eternal condemnation

1 Thessalonians 4:13-17 //  Revelation 20:11- 15

Salvation

We believe in the personal, glorious, and bodily return of our Lord Jesus Christ with his holy angels, at which time he will exercise his role as final Judge, and his kingdom will be finally and fully established. We look forward to the perfect New Heavens and a New Earth that Christ is preparing for all people, of all time, who have accepted Him. We will live and dwell with Him there forever following His millennial reign on Earth. “And so shall we forever be with the Lord!”

2 Peter 3:13 // Revelation 21 // Revelation 22

Commitment to Israel

We believe in the promise of Genesis 12:3 regarding the Jewish people and the nation of Israel. We believe Christians should bless, pray and comfort Israel and the Jewish people. As in Psalm 122, believers have a Bible mandate to combat anti-Semitism and to speak out in defence of Israel and the chosen people.
