Jerusalem, a fusion of ancient and modern cultures, has several archaeological strata of civilization that span more than four millennia, giving even the physical ground a distinct history. The city is intriguing on its own. The Holy City is very tense as the three major religions (Judaism, Islam, and Christianity) compete for territory and space. The battle especially between the sons of Ishmael and the sons of Isaac has raged for generation after generation and still rages today. Within her walls, there is a multitude of seekers and true believers. The world’s attention focuses on this tiny place, and the people within her gates need a revelation of their long-awaited Messiah, Jesus.

Why should we pray for the peace of Jerusalem?

It may be hard to believe, but 99% of the people living in Israel, the nation through which God revealed Himself to us and gave us His Son, don’t know Yeshua (Jesus) as their Messiah.

There are two cities in the world that the Lord commands every believer to pray for. The first  one is the city where we live (Jer 29:7 and 1 Tim 2:1-2) and the second one is Jerusalem (Psalm 122:6).

Jerusalem is top priority for Jesus because it is His city. It is the city He will return to as King of Kings and Lord of Lords when the leaders of Jerusalem cry out, "Blessed is He who comes in the Name of the Lord." (Matt 23:39)

This guide is primarily for those who have a heart for Israel and wish to pray for the peace of Jerusalem.

Thank you for joining your heart with ours to pray for Israel!
